Engineered process pumps for solids laden acidic solutions and chemically aggressive slurries.

Ū-Tec is the official agent for SAM Engineering (South Africa) chemical process pumps in Europe and Central Asia.

Industries such as non-ferrous metallurgy, battery materials, REEs, fertilizer production, pulp and paper, and waste-to-value often present extreme challenges for pumping equipment. Aggressive and abrasive media, frequently at high temperatures, are commonplace in these sectors.

As a trusted supplier of a comprehensive range of fluid handling and processing equipment for the Mining, Metals, Battery, Wastewater Treatment, and Fertilizer industries, Ū-Tec provides clients with a wide array of centrifugal chemical process and aggressive slurry pumps. These pumps come from a manufacturer with decades of expertise in various demanding applications, including:

SAMCO pumps are engineered for heavy-duty use in corrosive, abrasive, and high-temperature environments. The optimal material of execution is chosen based on the process requirements, ensuring maximum corrosion and abrasion resistance. Available materials range from reliable 316L and CD4MCu to super duplex steels (Alloy 2507), high-corrosion-resistance austenitic steels (904L, Alloy 20), special alloys (Sanicro 28, Hastelloy C-276, 654 SMO), and even exotic alloys.

Our clients benefit from a selection of impellers designed for various fluid types, including open, vortex, thick-wall closed, axial flow, and the specially engineered Shearpeller.

Pumps are available with gland packing, single or double mechanical seals, and up to three-stage dynamic seals. These options help minimize maintenance requirements and operational expenses, even when handling difficult-to-seal media.
Heavy-duty bearing frames come equipped with oil-splashing devices to ensure extended bearing life, even under low oil levels. These frames can be cast in stainless steel and fitted with labyrinth seals for added protection in humid, aggressive, or dusty environments.

To maintain proper fixing and alignment in highly corrosive environments, pump base frames can also be constructed from stainless steel.

For handling dirty solutions and acidic slurries, SAM Engineering pumps feature solids-handling impellers and removable wear plates, reducing operational costs.

The SAMCO product line also includes cantilever pumps, vertical spindle pumps, self-priming pumps, and split-casing designs. This diverse range ensures comprehensive plant coverage and spare parts interchangeability, optimizing both capital and operating expenses.

The true cantilever design is particularly reliable for handling hot, corrosive slurries, such as wet process phosphoric acid slurry. With no seals or bearings in contact with the media, this design is also ideal for situations where external lubrication for intermediate bearings is unavailable.

In addition to centrifugal chemical pumps (including plastic pumps), Ū-Tec can supply custom medium and large-sized clean water pumps, as well as an extensive range of peristaltic and AODD pumps, providing solutions for a wide variety of industrial tasks.
