Air foil bearing blower and compressor technology involves high efficiency high speed electric motor, frequency converter and air foil bearings which keep the shaft of the apparatus levitating, preventing friction.
 
Since there is no friction, the efficiency of the of the Turbowin equipment is higher than of its competitors. Another advantage is the lack of any oil or grease in the blower or compressor leading to clean air and trouble-free maintenance of equipment.

High speed design allows the blowers and compressors to be much more compact resulting in lower CapEx for the blower / compressor room construction.
 
A similar concept from competitors - magnetic bearing blowers - are bulkier, more expensive and consume additional power to maintain the magnetic force supporting the shaft.
